    SEE ALSO...

GGTase-Iα Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GGTase-I alpha protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GGTase-Iα antibody (B-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GGTase-I alpha protein plays a crucial role in post-translational modification of proteins through geranylgeranylation, which is essential for proper functioning of several signaling pathways, including TGF-β1 signaling pathway. This modification occurs at C-terminal CAAX motif of target proteins, where "A" represents an aliphatic amino acid and "X" is typically leucine. Geranylgeranylation process is vital for membrane localization and activity of various proteins, particularly Rab GTPases, which are involved in intracellular trafficking. GGTase-I enzyme is a heterodimer composed of an α subunit and a β subunit, and GGTase-I alpha (B-9) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying these pathways and their implications in health and disease.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with GGTase-Iα (B-9): sc-393545?

    Asked by: AbPolly
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
