SEE ALSO...

GCN5 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to detect GCN5, also known as KAT2A, across multiple species including human, mouse, rat, canine, and porcine. Anti-GCN5 antibody (A-11) targets a precise epitope within amino acids 363-387 at the N-terminus of the human GCN5 protein, ensuring robust performance in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GCN5 plays a critical role as a histone acetyltransferase, facilitating the acetylation of lysine residues on histone tails, which leads to chromatin remodeling and the regulation of gene transcription. This function is essential for various cellular processes including cell cycle progression, differentiation, and response to environmental signals. By acetylating histones, GCN5 enhances the accessibility of transcription factors to DNA, promoting active gene expression, whereas counterpart histone deacetylases like HDAC1 and HDAC2 are involved in transcriptional repression. GCN5 monoclonal antibody (A-11) recognizes GCN5 across different species, making anti-GCN5 antibody (A-11) a versatile tool for researchers studying epigenetic regulation and transcriptional control mechanisms. Available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, GCN5 (A-11) antibody provides flexibility for diverse experimental setups.
