    SEE ALSO...

GCM2 Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GCM2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GCM2 (C-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The glial cells missing homolog 2 (GCM2), also known as chorion-specific transcription factor GCMb, is a crucial 506 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a vital role in regulating parathyroid development. GCM2 is essential for mediating calcium effects on parathyroid hormone expression and secretion in parathyroid cells, which maintains calcium homeostasis in the body. GCM2 contains a single N-terminal GCM domain that exhibits DNA binding activity, allowing effective gene expression regulation. Mutations in GCM2 are linked to hypoparathyroidism, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by low calcium levels and elevated phosphate levels, highlighting GCM2′s significance in endocrine function and metabolic balance.
