SEE ALSO...

GCKR Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects GCKR protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GCKR antibody (B-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The glucokinase regulatory protein (GCKR) plays a crucial role in modulating the activity of glucokinase, which is essential for glucose metabolism and insulin secretion. By binding to glucokinase, GCKR influences its activity and helps maintain glucose homeostasis, making GCKR vital for proper metabolic function. Dysregulation of GCKR can lead to impaired insulin secretion and has been associated with conditions such as maturity onset diabetes of the youth (MODY). Understanding the interactions between GCKR and glucokinase is important for developing therapeutic strategies aimed at managing diabetes and other metabolic disorders.
