GBP1-5 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GBP1-5 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GBP1-5 (G-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Guanylate-binding proteins (GBP) are critical GTP-binding proteins known for their high-turnover GTPase activity and significant antiviral effects, playing a vital role in the immune response. GBP proteins are primarily located in the cytoplasm and are encoded by interferon-activated genes, which means expression is induced following interferon treatment. GBP protein oligomerization enhances functionality, allowing formation of large complexes that can effectively sequester viral components and modulate immune signaling pathways. This makes GBP1-5 an essential target for studying antiviral responses and understanding the mechanisms of immune regulation in various diseases.
