Gas7 Antibody (H-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Gas7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Gas7 (H-9) antibody is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Gas7, a member of the growth arrest-specific protein family, plays a crucial role in neurite differentiation, particularly in cultured mouse cerebellar neurons and PC-12 cells, highlighting Gas7′s potential as a therapeutic target for promoting neuronal regeneration in injured or diseased brains. Human Gas7 gene is located on chromosome 17p13.1 and translocates with MLL gene, resulting in MLL-GAS7 fusion products, which can have implications in certain leukemias. Gas7 is expressed in three isoforms—Gas7a, Gas7b, and Gas7c—each exhibiting distinct expression patterns across various brain subregions, which may influence specific functional roles in neurodevelopment and neuroprotection.
