SEE ALSO...

Ganglioside GD3 Antibody (MB3.6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ganglioside GD3 of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-Ganglioside GD3 antibody (MB3.6) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing versatility for various experimental needs. Ganglioside GD3 is a crucial glycosphingolipid located in the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane, where Ganglioside GD3 plays a vital role in cell signaling and interaction. Ganglioside GD3 expression is particularly significant in cancer, as Ganglioside GD3 is often overexpressed in malignant cells, contributing to tumor progression and metastasis. The unique structure of Ganglioside GD3, characterized by sialic acid residues, allows participation in important cellular processes such as cell adhesion, migration, and apoptosis regulation. This feature makes Ganglioside GD3 a key player in cancer therapy development, as targeting Ganglioside GD3 may help disrupt signaling pathways that promote tumor growth and survival. Anti-Ganglioside GD3 antibody (MB3.6) detection capabilities in various states of cellular health underscore potential use as a biomarker for disease progression and therapeutic response.

Can Ganglioside GD3 (MB3.6): sc-33685 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, Ganglioside GD3 (MB3.6): sc-33685 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
