SEE ALSO...

γ-catenin Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects gamma-catenin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-gamma-catenin antibody (A-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. gamma-catenin protein, also known as plakoglobin, plays a crucial role in cellular adhesion by forming complexes with cadherins, particularly E-cadherin and N-cadherin. These complexes are essential for maintaining epithelial tissue integrity and facilitating intercellular communication. gamma-catenin in these complexes not only stabilizes cadherin-catenin interactions but also participates in signaling pathways that regulate cell proliferation and differentiation. Alterations in gamma-catenin expression or function have been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, where disrupted cell adhesion can lead to increased invasiveness and metastasis. gamma-catenin (A-6) antibody serves as a valuable tool for researchers investigating cell adhesion mechanisms and cadherin-catenin complexes in health and disease.

Hi. I am interested in purchasing Anti-γ-Catenin Antibody for flow cytometry. Could you please let me know which of the two clones you are selling is preferable for this application? Thanks

Asked by: Elad
Thank you for your question. sc-514115 conjugated to Alexa Fluor is the only gamma catenin antibody we offer that is recommended for FCM.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514115 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
