    SEE ALSO...

Gα t1 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Gα t1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Gα t1 antibody (C-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Gα t1, also called GNAT1, is a crucial component of the heterotrimeric G protein signaling pathway, which plays a vital role in transmitting signals from cell surface receptors to intracellular effectors. Specifically, Gα t1 is involved in the visual signaling cascade, where Gα t1 interacts with photorhodopsin in rod cells, facilitating the exchange of guanine nucleotides. This exchange is essential for the conversion of light signals into electrical signals in the retina, ultimately contributing to vision. Proper functioning of Gα t1 is critical for phototransduction, and any dysfunction can lead to visual impairments or disorders. With an ability to bind and hydrolyze GTP, Gα t1 regulates the activity of downstream effectors, making Gα t1 a key player in the intricate network of cellular signaling.
