SEE ALSO...

Gα s/olf Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect the Gα s and Gα olf subunits of heterotrimeric G proteins, also known as the GNAS-encoded G-protein subunit or GNAL Olfactory protein. Gα s/olf monoclonal antibody (E-7) targets an epitope comprising amino acids 82-381 at the C-terminus of the human Gα s/olf protein, ensuring strong and precise binding. Located primarily at the plasma membrane, Gα s and Gα olf play a critical role in cellular signal transduction by relaying information from a diverse array of cell surface receptors to intracellular effectors such as adenylyl cyclase. This localization is essential for the accurate transmission of extracellular signals, including hormones and olfactory stimuli, which regulate vital physiological processes like metabolism, sensory perception, and neuronal communication. Gα s/olf (E-7) antibody exhibits broad species reactivity, effectively recognizing Gα s1-4 and Gα olf proteins from mouse, rat, and human origins, making Gα s/olf (E-7) monoclonal antibody a versatile tool for cross-species research applications. Anti-Gα s/olf antibody (E-7) is compatible with multiple laboratory techniques, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), allowing comprehensive analysis of G protein-mediated pathways. Gα s/olf (E-7) monoclonal antibody enables researchers to gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of G protein signaling and its impact on health and disease, thereby advancing studies in biomedical research and therapeutic development.

I am using Gα s/olf (E-7): sc-55546 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Rated 5 out of 5 by from obviousIt is quite obvious that the function of the heterotrimeric G-protein is to specifically detect extracellular stimuli in each of a wide range of receptors that transmit information from cell surface receptors to intracellular effectors, but we can monitor To less effectors for the production of one or more intracellular messengers.
