SEE ALSO...

Gα s/olf Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect the Gαs and Gαolf proteins across multiple species, including mouse, rat, human, canine, bovine, porcine, and avian, through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Gα s/olf (C-10) antibody targets a precise epitope located between amino acids 369-394 at the C-terminus of the rat Gαs protein, ensuring selective binding to the Gαs/olf subunits. Gαs, also known as GNAS or G-protein subunit alpha S, and Gαolf, referred to as GNAL or G-protein subunit alpha L, are integral components of heterotrimeric G proteins that play a crucial role in transmitting extracellular signals from a variety of receptors, including hormone and neurotransmitter receptors, to intracellular effectors like adenylate cyclase. These proteins interact with βγ subunits, which are essential for regulating downstream signaling pathways, and with regulators of G protein signaling (RGS) proteins that modulate the activity and duration of the G protein signal by enhancing GTPase activity. Additionally, Gαs/olf proteins engage with specific receptors such as β-adrenergic and olfactory receptors, facilitating the activation of adenylate cyclase and the subsequent production of cyclic AMP, a key second messenger in cellular signaling. By targeting these interactions, anti-Gα s/olf antibody (C-10) serves as a powerful tool for researchers investigating G protein-coupled receptor signaling mechanisms in various biological systems. Available in a non-conjugated form, Gα s/olf monoclonal antibody (C-10) provides reliable and precise detection of Gαs and Gαolf proteins, making this reagent essential for studies focused on signal transduction, receptor function, and cellular communication.

Could you provide this antibody conjugated to a micropolimer detection system?

Asked by: Alejandro T
Thank you for your question. We are not able to provide this antibody conjugated to that type of polymer. However, please inquire with our Special Orders Department if you would like to purchase a bulk quantity of the carrier-free antibody that you could then use to conjugate yourself. Please call our Technical Service or email specialorders@scbt.com.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-377435 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
