SEE ALSO...

Gα 15 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the G alpha 15 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). G alpha 15 (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. G alpha 15 plays a crucial role in signal transduction as a member of the Gq subfamily of heterotrimeric G proteins, which are essential for relaying signals from cell surface receptors to intracellular effectors. G alpha 15 is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic cells, where G alpha 15 participates in mediating responses to various extracellular stimuli, such as hormones and neurotransmitters. G alpha 15′s ability to bind and hydrolyze guanosine triphosphate (GTP) is vital for function, as G alpha 15 regulates the activity of downstream effectors, including phospholipase C, which generates inositol trisphosphate and diacylglycerol, leading to increased intracellular calcium levels and activation of protein kinase C. Understanding G alpha 15 function is important for elucidating G alpha 15′s role in hematopoietic cell signaling and potential implications in various physiological and pathological processes, including immune responses and hematopoiesis.
