GABP-β1/2 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GABP-β1 and GABP-β2 proteins of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GABP-β1/2 (E-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The GA-binding protein (GABP) transcription factor is crucial for regulating gene expression and is composed of two subunits: the Ets-related GABP-α and GABP-β subunit, which has two splice variants, GABP-β1 and GABP-β2, that differ in their C-termini. GABP-β is predominantly localized in both the cytoplasm and nucleus of primary neuronal cultures, while GABP-α is primarily nuclear. This localization allows GABP to coordinate transcriptional regulation between nucleus and mitochondria, particularly for genes involved in energy metabolism and cellular stress responses. The GABPαβ tetrameric complex plays a vital role in various cellular processes, including stimulation of adenovirus E4 gene transcription, differential activation of BRCA1 expression in breast cell lines, and regulation of mitochondrial and nuclear transcription for cytochrome oxidase in neurons. GABP-β1/2 (E-7) antibody enables researchers to gain insights into complex regulatory mechanisms of GABP and implications in cellular function and disease.
