GABP-β1/2 Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GABP-β1/2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GABP-β1/2 (E-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GABP (GA-binding protein) transcription factor is crucial for regulating gene expression, composed of two subunits: the Ets-related GABP-α and GABP-β subunit, which has two splice variants, β1 and β2, differing in their C-termini. GABP-β presence in both cytoplasm and nucleus of primary neuronal cultures highlights a dual role in cellular processes, as GABP-α predominantly resides in the nucleus. This localization allows GABP to coordinate transcriptional regulation between nucleus and mitochondria, particularly for genes involved in energy metabolism and cellular growth. GABPαβ tetrameric complex stimulates transcription of various genes, including adenovirus E4 gene and BRCA1 in breast cell lines, while also playing a role in mitochondrial function and rpL32 gene transcription regulation. Anti-GABP-β1/2 antibody (E-1) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying transcriptional mechanisms and cellular signaling pathways.
