GABARAP Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GABARAP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GABARAP antibody (E-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GABARAP (E-8) antibody recognizes a protein that plays a crucial role in the central nervous system through involvement in trafficking and stabilization of GABAA receptors, which are essential for mediating inhibitory neurotransmission. By linking GABAA receptors to the cytoskeleton, GABARAP ensures proper receptor localization and function, thereby influencing neuronal excitability and synaptic plasticity. GABARAP′s structure, similar to light chain-3 of microtubule-associated proteins, suggests a function as a microtubule-associated protein or as part of a larger protein complex, highlighting GABARAP′s importance in maintaining cellular architecture and signaling pathways.
