GABAB R2 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects GABAB R2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GABAB R2 is a critical component of the GABAB receptor, which is a heterodimer formed with GABAB R1, and plays a vital role in mediating slow inhibitory neurotransmission in the central nervous system. GABAB R2 is predominantly located in the brain, where GABAB R2 is involved in various physiological processes, including the regulation of mood, anxiety, and pain perception. The GABAB receptor′s unique structure, characterized by multi-pass membrane proteins, allows GABAB R2 to interact with G proteins, which subsequently modulate downstream signaling pathways. These pathways include the activation of potassium channels and the inhibition of adenylyl cyclase activity, both of which are essential for maintaining neuronal excitability and synaptic plasticity. Proper functioning of GABAB R2 is crucial for fine-tuning inhibitory synaptic transmissions, and dysregulation of GABAB R2 has been implicated in several neurological disorders, making GABAB R2 a significant target for therapeutic intervention. Anti-GABAB R2 antibody (E-4) provides researchers with a powerful tool for studying the dynamics of GABAB receptor signaling and implications in health and disease.
