    SEE ALSO...

GABAB R1 Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects GABAB R1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GABAB R1 is a critical component of the GABAB receptor, which is a heterodimeric G protein-coupled receptor that plays a vital role in mediating inhibitory neurotransmission in the central nervous system. The GABAB receptor, composed of GABAB R1 and GABAB R2, is essential for various physiological processes, including the regulation of synaptic transmission, modulation of neuronal excitability, and the promotion of slow wave sleep. GABAB R1 is primarily located in the postsynaptic membrane of neurons, where GABAB R1 interacts with G proteins to initiate signaling cascades that lead to the opening of potassium channels and the inhibition of adenylyl cyclase activity. This localization is crucial as GABAB R1 allows for the precise modulation of synaptic strength and timing, which is fundamental for maintaining the balance between excitation and inhibition in the brain. Dysregulation of GABAB receptor signaling has been implicated in various neurological disorders, making GABAB R1 a significant target for therapeutic intervention. anti-GABAB R1 antibody (C-11) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of GABAergic signaling and its implications in health and disease.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with GABAB R1 (C-11): sc-398901?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
