SEE ALSO...

Fyn Antibody (15) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Fyn protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry (FCM). Fyn (15) monoclonal antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Fyn, a member of the Src family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases, plays a crucial role in T-cell receptor signaling, which is essential for the immune response. Fyn is primarily located in the cytoplasm and can translocate to the plasma membrane upon activation, where Fyn interacts with various signaling molecules to modulate cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and motility. Proper localization of Fyn is vital for function, as this allows for precise regulation of signaling pathways that are critical for T-cell activation and immune responses. The human Fyn gene is located on chromosome 6q21 and encodes a 537 amino acid protein, which is involved in modulation of various cellular functions through kinase activity. Understanding the role of Fyn and localization within the cell can provide insights into contributions to immune system regulation and potential implications in diseases such as cancer and autoimmune disorders.
