Fyb Antibody (5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Fyb in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Fyb, or Fyn binding protein, plays a crucial role in T cell signaling by interacting with the tyrosine kinase p59fyn and anchoring proteins like SKAP55 and SKAP55-R. Fyb is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where Fyb facilitates the assembly of signaling complexes essential for T cell activation. This localization allows Fyb to effectively mediate downstream signaling pathways initiated by lymphocyte antigen receptors, which are critical for immune responses. The human Fyb gene, located on chromosome 5p13.1, encodes a 783 amino acid protein featuring a unique structure, including an amino-terminal pleckstrin homology domain and a carboxy-terminal SH3 domain binding motif. These structural elements enable Fyb to interact with other signaling molecules, thereby influencing T cell function and contributing to immune response regulation. Anti-Fyb antibody (5) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying T cell signaling and its implications in immune-related diseases.
