Datasheets
  • FucT-IV Antibody (MY-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgM provided at 500 µl supernatant
  • raised against purified neutrophils from peripheral blood of human origin
  • recommended for detection of FucT-IV of human origin by IF and IHC(P); also recommended for detection of an antigen located on mature granulocytes and on Hodgkin and Reed Sternberg cells
  • At present, we have not yet completed the identification of the preferred secondary detection reagent(s) for FucT-IV Antibody (MY-1). This work is in progress.

    SEE ALSO...

FucT-IV Antibody (MY-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects FucT-IV of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Anti-FucT-IV antibody (MY-1) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile applications in research. FucT-IV, also known as FUT4, FCT3A, or ELFT, is a 405 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein primarily localized to Golgi stacks. Such localization positions FucT-IV at glycosylation sites, where FucT-IV catalyzes fucose addition to various glycan structures, including N-acetyllactosamines. FucT-IV enzymatic activity is essential for synthesizing complex carbohydrates, such as cell-adhesion antigen CD15 (Lewis X), which plays a significant role in cell-cell interactions and signaling pathways, including apoptosis and cellular adhesion. FucT-IV shows high expression during embryogenesis in tissues such as skin, liver, kidney, muscle, and small intestine, highlighting FucT-IV importance in developmental processes. FucT-IV overexpression has been linked to epithelial cancers, suggesting potential involvement in tumorigenesis and making FucT-IV a valuable target for cancer research.
