frizzled-4 Antibody (3G7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects frizzled-4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-frizzled-4 antibody (3G7) is available as a non-conjugated format. Frizzled-4 protein, consisting of 537 amino acids and encoded by the human gene FZD4, serves as a crucial receptor for Wnt proteins, which are essential for various developmental processes and cellular functions. Frizzled-4 (3G7) monoclonal antibody plays an integral role in the beta-catenin canonical signaling pathway, which facilitates the activation of disheveled proteins, inhibits glycogen synthase kinase 3, promotes the nuclear accumulation of beta-catenin, and ultimately activates Wnt target genes. This signaling pathway regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, and tissue homeostasis. Frizzled-4 is implicated in retinal angiogenesis, highlighting a significant role in vascular development and potential implications in diseases such as diabetic retinopathy. Expression of frizzled-4 is widespread, with highest levels found in adult heart, skeletal muscle, ovary, and fetal kidney, underscoring a role in various physiological processes.
