    SEE ALSO...

FRG1 Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FRG1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FRG1 antibody (C-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FRG1 protein, consisting of 258 amino acids, is a nuclear protein encoded by the human gene FRG1 and plays a crucial role in the processing of pre-ribosomal RNA, which is essential for the assembly of ribosomal subunits. This function is particularly important as FRG1 directly impacts protein synthesis within the cell, influencing cellular growth and function. Dysregulation of FRG1 has been implicated in facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD), a genetic disorder characterized by muscle degeneration and retinal vascular abnormalities, which arise from increased expression of genes near the deletion on chromosome 4q35 that includes the FRG1 gene. FRG1 is expressed in various tissues, including adult and fetal muscle, lymphocytes, and placenta, and is localized to nuclear Cajal bodies or speckles, highlighting FRG1′s significance in cellular processes.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with FRG1 (C-5): sc-377040?

    Asked by: Germaine
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
