FOXP1 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FOXP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FOXP1 (A-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FOXP1 plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation, particularly during early development, where FOXP1 is highly expressed in the lung and to a lesser extent in neural, intestinal, and cardiovascular tissues. This expression pattern is vital as FOXP1 functions as a transcriptional repressor, influencing the development and differentiation of various cell types. In adult tissues, FOXP1 is widely expressed, and FOXP1 dysregulation is often observed in neoplastic cells, which can lead to altered expression levels or localization. The gene encoding human FOXP1 is located on chromosome 3p14.1, and FOXP1 proper function is essential for maintaining normal cellular processes. Additionally, FOXP1 is part of a larger family of transcription factors that includes FOXP2 and FOXP3, with FOXP3 being critical for immune regulation. Understanding FOXP1 role in cellular mechanisms is important for elucidating FOXP1 involvement in developmental processes and potential implications in diseases characterized by aberrant transcriptional regulation.
