SEE ALSO...

FOXK1 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FOXK1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-FOXK1 antibody (G-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FOXK1 is a member of the forkhead box (FOX) family of transcription factors, characterized by a conserved winged-helix or forkhead domain that plays a crucial role in DNA binding and gene regulation. FOXK1 is particularly important in skeletal muscle regeneration, being expressed in undifferentiated myogenic stem cells, known as satellite cells, which are essential for myofiber repair and regeneration following injury. Through interaction with cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21 (CIP), FOXK1 regulates cell cycle responses during muscle regeneration. Loss of FOXK1 function in animal models has been linked to significant growth retardation and impaired muscle regeneration, highlighting a critical role in tissue repair. FOXK1 is expressed in various immature tissues, including brain, eye, heart, lung, and thymus, and is predominantly found in many malignant tissues, such as tumors of brain, colon, and lymph nodes, making FOXK1 a potential biomarker for cancer research.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-373810 X be used instead of the standard form sc-373810?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
