Fox-1 Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Fox-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Fox-1 (A-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Fox-1 protein, also known as A2BP, A2BP1, or HRNBP1, is a 397 amino acid RNA-binding protein that plays a crucial role in regulating alternative splicing events, particularly during erythropoiesis, by binding to specific RNA elements. Nuclear and cytoplasmic localization allows Fox-1 to interact with various RNA targets and proteins, including Ataxin-2, thereby influencing gene expression and cellular function. One RNA recognition motif (RRM) domain in Fox-1′s structure is essential for binding capabilities, which are vital for proper processing of pre-mRNA and generation of functional mRNA isoforms. Fox-1 encoding gene is located on human chromosome 16, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including giant axonal neuropathy and Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome, highlighting Fox-1′s importance in both normal cellular processes and disease states.
