Follistatin Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects follistatin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-follistatin antibody (C-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Follistatin plays a crucial role in reproductive physiology as a high-affinity binding protein for activin, which is essential for regulating the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). Follistatin is primarily located in the extracellular space, where follistatin interacts with activins and inhibins, members of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) superfamily.
