FMR1 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects FMR1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FMR1 antibody (D-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FMR1, also known as fragile X mental retardation protein (FMRP), plays a crucial role in regulating synaptic plasticity and is essential for normal cognitive function. FMR1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where FMR1 associates with polyribosomes to facilitate the transport and translation of specific mRNAs, thereby influencing protein synthesis in response to neuronal activity.
