Fibromodulin Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Fibromodulin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Fibromodulin antibody (H-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Fibromodulin is a crucial member of the small leucine-rich proteoglycans (SLRPs) family, which also includes Decorin, Biglycan, and Lumican, and plays a significant role in the organization of the extracellular matrix. Fibromodulin is primarily located in the extracellular matrix of connective tissues, particularly in articular cartilage, tendon, and ligament, where Fibromodulin is essential for maintaining structural integrity and facilitating cellular interactions. Fibromodulin influences collagen fibril formation by regulating the spacing and thickness of collagen fibers, which is vital for the mechanical properties of tissues. The human Fibromodulin gene is located on chromosome 1q32 and encodes a protein consisting of 376 amino acids, characterized by a central region of leucine-rich repeats flanked by disulfide-linked terminal domains. Fibromodulin′s ability to bind collagen and interact with transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) underscores Fibromodulin′s importance in tissue repair and fibrosis, making Fibromodulin monoclonal antibody (H-11) a valuable tool for researchers studying connective tissue dynamics and related pathologies.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166406 P appropriate for?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
