Fibrinogen β Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Fibrinogen beta protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Fibrinogen beta antibody (D-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Fibrinogen beta protein plays a crucial role in the coagulation process, as one of three subunits making up plasma glycoprotein Fibrinogen, synthesized in the liver. Fibrinogen beta protein is essential for Fibrin formation, the primary component of blood clots, and participates in platelet aggregation, vital for hemostasis following tissue injury. Fibrinogen beta chain undergoes cleavage by Thrombin during coagulation cascade, leading to Fibrin formation and promoting platelet aggregation. Fibrinogen beta cleavage products contribute to blood clot structural integrity, regulate cell adhesion and spreading, exhibit vasoconstrictor and chemotactic activities, and act as mitogens for various cell types, highlighting a multifaceted role in hemostasis and inflammation.
