FHL-2 Antibody (F4B2-B11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects FHL-2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. FHL-2 plays a crucial role in muscle development and function, as FHL-2 is involved in the regulation of gene expression through interaction with transcription factors like CREB and CREM. FHL-2 is predominantly expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle, as well as in placenta and ovarian tissues, highlighting FHL-2′s importance in both muscle physiology and reproductive biology. The localization of FHL-2 in the cytosol of myoblasts and myotubes is significant, as such positioning suggests a role in the early stages of muscle differentiation and development. FHL-2′s ability to interact with other FHL proteins allows for the formation of specific protein complexes that can modulate various signaling pathways, further emphasizing FHL-2′s importance in cellular processes. The FHL family of proteins, including FHL-2, exhibits considerable genetic diversity despite similar amino acid sequences, which may contribute to distinct functional roles in different tissues.
