SEE ALSO...

FGF-21 Antibody (Y-16) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FGF-21 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FGF-21 antibody (Y-16) is available as a non-conjugated format. FGF-21 protein plays a crucial role in metabolic regulation, particularly in glucose and lipid metabolism, making FGF-21 an important target for research in metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes. FGF-21 is primarily secreted by the liver and adipose tissue, and FGF-21 expression is induced under conditions of stress, such as fasting or cold exposure. FGF-21 acts on various tissues, including the liver, muscle, and adipose tissue, to promote energy expenditure and improve insulin sensitivity. Understanding FGF-21 function and regulation is vital for developing therapeutic strategies aimed at treating metabolic diseases, as FGF-21 has been shown to influence weight loss and improve metabolic health.
