SEE ALSO...

FEZF1 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FEZF1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FEZF1 antibody (F-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FEZF1, also known as Fez family zinc finger protein 1, plays a crucial role in the development of the olfactory system, particularly in guiding olfactory sensory neuron axons to the olfactory bulb. This process enables accurate transmission of sensory information related to smell. In FEZF1-deficient mice, olfactory axons fail to reach the olfactory bulb, highlighting FEZF1′s importance in facilitating axon penetration through the central nervous system′s basal lamina. FEZF1 functions as a 475 amino acid nuclear protein that, upon nuclear translocation, can induce KRAS overexpression, leading to ERK signaling pathway activation. Such overexpression associates with accelerated cell proliferation and increased tumor mass in experimental models, underscoring FEZF1′s potential implications in cancer biology. Alternative splicing produces three FEZF1 isoforms, contributing to diverse functional roles in cellular processes.
