FEZ1 Antibody (1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects FEZ1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). FEZ1, also known as leucine zipper putative tumor suppressor or LZTS1, plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth and is characterized by its DNA-binding leucine zipper motif, which is essential for its function as a transcriptional regulator. FEZ1 is predominantly expressed in normal breast and prostate tissues, but expression is often lost in various tumors, including breast and prostate cancers, highlighting FEZ1′s importance as a potential tumor suppressor. Loss of FEZ1 expression in cancer cell lines and primary tumors can be attributed to genetic mutations or epigenetic modifications, such as hypermethylation of the CpG island surrounding the FEZ1 promoter, which disrupts regulatory functions. During cell-cycle progression, FEZ1 localizes to microtubule components and undergoes hyperphosphorylation by cAMP-dependent kinase, further emphasizing FEZ1′s role in cell cycle regulation and maintenance of normal cellular functions. Anti-FEZ1 antibody (1) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of tumorigenesis and potential therapeutic implications of restoring FEZ1 expression in cancer treatment.
