Fes Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Fes in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Fes antibody (E-1) recognizes Fes, a crucial tyrosine kinase encoded by the proto-oncogene c-fes, which plays a significant role in the regulation of myeloid differentiation, particularly in macrophages. Fes (E-1) antibody targets a protein structure that includes an SH2 domain and undergoes autophosphorylation, essential features for function in signal transduction pathways. These structural features enable Fes to interact with various hematopoietic cytokine receptors and the B cell receptor (BCR), facilitating critical cellular responses. Notably, phosphorylation of BCR by Fes promotes association with the Ras guanine nucleotide exchange factor complex GRB2/Sos, highlighting Fes importance in modulating signaling pathways that influence cell growth and differentiation. Anti-Fes antibody (E-1) versatility in multiple applications makes this reagent an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate roles of Fes in cellular processes and disease mechanisms.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166371 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
