SEE ALSO...

FBP1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects FBP1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FUSE-binding protein 1 (FBP1) plays a crucial role in regulating the expression of the c-Myc gene, which is essential for cell proliferation and growth. FBP1 binds specifically to the far upstream element (FUSE) of the c-Myc gene, acting as a growth-dependent regulator that is vital for maintaining the expression of c-Myc in undifferentiated cells. FBP1′s importance is underscored by its expression pattern; FBP1 is predominantly found in undifferentiated cells, and FBP1 levels significantly decrease upon differentiation, which can impact cellular growth and function. The FBP family, which includes FBP1, FBP2, and FBP3, consists of single-stranded DNA-binding proteins that share a conserved central DNA-binding domain and exhibit significant homology in their carboxyl-terminal activation domains, highlighting their functional similarities and importance in gene regulation. Anti-FBP1 antibody (B-7) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of gene expression and cellular differentiation.
