FBL7 Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FBL7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FBL7 (A-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FBL7 protein, consisting of 491 amino acids and encoded by the human gene FBXL7, plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, primarily through its function as a member of the F-box family. This family of proteins is integral to the SCF (Skp1-CUL-1-F-box protein) type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, which is essential for the recognition and recruitment of substrate proteins for ubiquitination. FBL7 contains a 40 amino acid F-box region and ten leucine-rich repeats, which are vital for interaction with phosphorylated substrates, facilitating ubiquitination and subsequent degradation. FBL7′s ability to target specific proteins, such as cyclins and cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors, underscores FBL7′s importance in regulating various cellular processes, including the cell cycle, immune responses, and developmental pathways. Localized near the nucleus within the cytoplasm, FBL7 is ubiquitously expressed, highlighting FBL7′s significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to cellular stress.
