    SEE ALSO...

FBL4 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FBL4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FBL4 Antibody (A-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FBL4 protein, consisting of 621 amino acids and encoded by the human gene FBXL4, plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway as a member of the F-box family. Notably, FBL4 contains a 40 amino acid F-box region and eight leucine-rich repeats, which are essential for substrate recognition and recruitment within the SCF (Skp1-CUL-1-F-box protein) type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. This complex is vital for regulating various cellular processes, including the cell cycle, immune response, and signaling pathways, by targeting specific proteins such as cyclins and b-catenin for degradation. FBL4 is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm near the nucleus and is expressed in several tissues, including the heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, and placenta, while notably absent in skeletal muscle. FBL4′s ability to modulate protein degradation underscores its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to developmental cues.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376102 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
