    SEE ALSO...

FBL18 Antibody (LL-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the FBL18 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FBL18 antibody (LL-3) is available as the non-conjugated format. FBL18, also known as F-box and leucine-rich repeat protein 18 or FBXL18, is an 805 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of an F-box motif at its N-terminus, followed by multiple leucine-rich repeats and a transmembrane domain at the C-terminus. FBL18 plays a crucial role in the SCF (Skp1-CUL-1-F-box protein) type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, which is essential for the ubiquitination process that regulates protein degradation within the cell. FBL18′s ability to interact with specific proteins, such as SKP1A p19 and CUL-1, highlights its importance in substrate recognition and recruitment, thereby influencing various cellular processes including the cell cycle, immune response, and developmental signaling pathways. Notably, FBL18 undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in four distinct isoforms, which may have different regulatory roles and functional implications in cellular homeostasis and disease states.

Can sc-100738: FBL18 (LL-3) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100738: FBL18 (LL-3) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
