SEE ALSO...

Factor H Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Factor H in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Factor H (H-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Factor H plays a crucial role in regulating the alternative complement pathway, which is essential for the immune response and helps prevent damage to host tissues during inflammation. Factor H is a serum glycoprotein composed of 1213 amino acids, organized into 20 short consensus repeats (SCRs) that facilitate diverse functions, including acting as a cofactor for Factor I, which inactivates C3b. Additionally, Factor H interacts with various cellular receptors and glycosaminoglycans, highlighting importance beyond the complement system. Notably, Factor H deficiencies are linked to acute renal diseases, underscoring significance in maintaining kidney health and overall immune regulation.
