SEE ALSO...

Ezrin Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Ezrin in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ezrin is a crucial member of the ERM (Ezrin, Radixin, Moesin) protein family, which plays a significant role in linking the cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane, thereby facilitating cellular processes such as cell shape maintenance, motility, and signaling. Ezrin is primarily localized beneath the plasma membrane, where anti-Ezrin antibody (F-1) can detect its scaffold function for signaling complex assembly and membrane structure organization. Ezrin serves as a major substrate for various protein-tyrosine kinases, including the epidermal growth factor receptor, underscoring Ezrin′s importance in signal transduction pathways that regulate cell growth and differentiation. Ezrin (F-1) antibody helps identify Ezrin′s function as an anchoring protein for cAMP-dependent protein kinase, known as AKAP78, highlighting Ezrin′s multifaceted role in cellular signaling. The distinct phosphorylation patterns exhibited by Ezrin, Moesin, and Radixin, despite their high homology, suggest these proteins may have specialized functions in different cellular contexts, making Ezrin monoclonal antibody (F-1) an invaluable tool for studying the dynamics of cell signaling and cytoskeletal organization in human tissues.

I am using Ezrin (F-1): sc-377205 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: jenniferc
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
