Ezrin Antibody (4A5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ezrin in mouse, rat, human, and rabbit samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Ezrin antibody (4A5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ezrin plays a crucial role in cellular structure and signaling, acting as a key link between the cytoskeleton and the plasma membrane. Ezrin is primarily located just beneath the plasma membrane, where Ezrin facilitates the organization of actin filaments and the formation of membrane protrusions, which are essential for processes such as cell migration, adhesion, and shape maintenance. Additionally, Ezrin is a significant substrate for various protein-tyrosine kinases, including the epidermal growth factor receptor, and functions as an anchoring protein for cAMP-dependent protein kinase, known as AKAP78.
