    SEE ALSO...

EYA4 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EYA4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-EYA4 antibody (E-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EYA4 protein, encoded by a gene located on chromosome 6q23, consists of 640 amino acids and is a member of the eyes absent family, which includes four distinct proteins. A notable feature of EYA4 is its highly conserved 271 amino acid domain at the carboxyl terminal, which plays a crucial role in function. This domain is essential for EYA4 interaction with other proteins such as SIX and DACH, as well as G-proteins, which are vital for regulating transcription during early embryonic development. Nuclear translocation of EYA4, facilitated by SIX, underscores importance in gene regulation. Mutations leading to premature stop codons in EYA4 have been linked to postlingual, progressive autosomal dominant hearing loss in humans, highlighting critical role in the mature organ of Corti. Additionally, EYA4 expression pattern suggests potential involvement in oculo-dento-digital syndrome, further emphasizing significance in developmental processes and relevance in various pathologies.
