SEE ALSO...

Exportin 7 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Exportin 7 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Exportin 7 antibody (A-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Exportin 7, also known as RanBP16 or XPO7, is a 1,087 amino acid protein primarily expressed in the testis, thyroid, and bone marrow, with additional expression in the lung, liver, and small intestine. Exportin 7 plays a crucial role in the transport of proteins and large RNAs through the nuclear pore complex, facilitating translocation between the nucleus and cytoplasm. Localization of Exportin 7 in both the cytoplasm and nucleus ensures efficient cargo binding and transport in response to the nucleocytoplasmic RanGTP gradient. Exportin 7 interacts with proteins containing nuclear localization signals, which are essential for recognition and transport. Beyond transport functions, Exportin 7 is implicated in erythroid differentiation and may interact with cancer-associated proteins, suggesting a potential role in tumorigenesis.

I am using Exportin 7 (A-11): sc-390025 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: AbPolly
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
