Exportin 5 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Exportin 5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Exportin 5 antibody (A-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Exportin 5, also known as Exp5, plays a crucial role in nuclear export of RNA molecules, specifically recognizing and transporting RNAs that contain minihelix motifs. These motifs are essential for proper export of small RNAs, as they consist of a double-stranded stem and a protruding single-stranded tail, which are critical for stability and functionality of RNA during transport. By facilitating export of these RNA species, Exportin 5 ensures availability in cytoplasm for translation and other cellular processes, thereby influencing gene expression and cellular function. Additionally, Exportin 5 is involved in transport of various proteins between nucleus and cytoplasm, highlighting importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating gene expression.
