EURL Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EURL protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EURL (G-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EURL protein, also known as C21orf91 or YG81, is a 297 amino acid protein characterized by a putative carboxy-terminal coiled-coil domain, which is crucial for protein-protein interactions and structural stability. EURL is predominantly expressed in the embryonic dorsal retina and anterior epithelial cells of the lens during later embryonic stages, suggesting a significant role in cell determination and differentiation processes. The gene encoding EURL is located on the long arm of chromosome 21, a region associated with various genetic disorders, including Alzheimer′s Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and notably, Down Syndrome (trisomy 21). Understanding EURL function is vital, as this research may provide insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and contribute to the development of targeted therapies.
