ERRα Antibody (2ERR7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ERRα in mouse, rat, and human samples by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). ERRα Antibody (2ERR7) is available in non-conjugated and conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Estrogen related receptor alpha (ERRα) is a nuclear receptor within the superfamily of ligand-regulated transcription factors and belongs to the NR3B orphan nuclear receptor subgroup, which includes ERRα, ERRβ, and ERRγ. ERRα resides in the nucleus, regulating gene expression related to energy metabolism and mitochondrial function. Nuclear localization enables ERRα to modulate genes involved in mitochondrial biogenesis and oxidative metabolism. ERRα expression increases during fasting and cold exposure, highlighting a role in energy homeostasis and thermogenesis. Mice lacking ERRα cannot maintain body temperature in cold environments, underscoring ERRα′s significance in metabolic adaptation.
