SEE ALSO...

ERp5 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ERp5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ERp5 antibody (G-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ERp5, also known as PDIA6 or TXNDC7, is a 440 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of two thioredoxin domains, which are crucial for function as a protein disulfide isomerase. ERp5 is primarily localized in the endoplasmic reticulum and melanosomes, where ERp5 plays a vital role in catalyzing the rearrangement of disulfide bonds in various proteins, a process essential for proper protein folding and stability. ERp5′s ability to reduce disulfide bonds is particularly important in tumor biology, as ERp5 can release MICA from tumor cells, thereby modulating immune responses and potentially influencing tumor expansion. Multiple isoforms of ERp5 exist due to alternative splicing, highlighting the complexity of regulation and function, making ERp5 a significant target for research in cancer and cellular stress responses.
