SEE ALSO...

ERH Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ERH protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ERH antibody (C-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ERH protein, also known as enhancer of rudimentary homolog or DROER, is a 104 amino acid transcriptional coregulator that is ubiquitously expressed and highly conserved across eukaryotic species. One of the critical aspects of ERH is its role in regulating the stability of the HNF-1/DNA complex, which is essential for the expression of various genes in the liver. By repressing the coactivator PCBD, ERH disrupts the interaction between HNF-1 and DNA, thereby influencing the transcriptional activity of genes involved in liver function and metabolism. The structure of ERH is notable for its single domain, which comprises three alpha-helices and four beta-strands, along with a long, flexible loop that is highly conserved, indicating potential importance in functional dynamics. Additionally, ERH contains two phosphorylation sites for casein kinase II, which may affect dimerization ability, further underscoring the significance of post-translational modifications in modulating activity.
