SEE ALSO...

ERGIC-3 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects ERGIC-3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ERGIC-3, also known as Erv46, is a critical component of the early secretory pathway, playing a vital role in the transport of newly synthesized glycoproteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. ERGIC-3 is primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment (ERGIC) and is essential for maintaining the integrity of membrane trafficking processes. ERGIC-3 interacts with other proteins such as ERGIC-2 (Erv41) and ERGIC-1 (ERGIC32), forming a complex that facilitates selective cargo transport. Disruptions in this transport mechanism can lead to various cellular dysfunctions and diseases, highlighting ERGIC-3′s importance in cellular homeostasis and protein processing. Anti-ERGIC-3 antibody (B-5) provides valuable insights into the dynamics of the secretory pathway for researchers studying protein transport and related cellular processes.
