ERGIC-3 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ERGIC-3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ERGIC-3 (E-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ERGIC-3 plays a crucial role in the early secretory pathway, particularly in the transport of newly synthesized glycoproteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the ERGIC and Golgi apparatus. ERGIC-3 is part of a family of membrane-bound proteins that facilitate selective cargo transport, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and proper protein processing. ERGIC-3 interacts with other key proteins such as ERGIC-1 and ERGIC-2, which are involved in the formation of transport vesicles and the regulation of glycoprotein trafficking. Proper functioning of ERGIC-3 is vital for the secretion of proteins that are critical for various physiological processes, including immune response and cell signaling. Using anti-ERGIC-3 antibody (E-3) in research can provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of protein transport and the implications of dysregulation in diseases related to the secretory pathway.
